about

The Spell is cast for a perfect foot treatment. If you've come in off the street past urban blackbirds singing in the rain and rush hour buses carrying tired commuters home, we hope to massage the pressure away and lift you up off your feet so you can fly away across roof tops and fire escapes to join migrating swallows and swifts returning home on the coastal road.

"Migration on foot or wing is an annual theme for bird sound recordists. We run around these spring soundscapes and autumn cries. The dry song of a yellowhammer encourages the listener to walk away from the maddening crowd." - Mark Constantine

"This was a collaborative effort with contributions from all the musicians involved in the spa music collective - we wanted to write original music themed around moving forward and travelling light on your feet. It takes you along coastal paths, past childhood oaks and hidden streams to the remote places where ravens and buzzards call." - Simon Emmerson
